Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

Last updated: August 2026 · Applies to: RenoRoofingCo.com

This page is how you tell us to stop — and how you ask us what we have, fix it, or delete it. It works for everyone who asks, in any state.

First, what "sale" means here

We're a referral business. When a homeowner asks us for roofing quotes, we send that request to up to 3 licensed roofing contractors, and those contractors pay us for the introduction. We may also upload a scrambled (hashed) email address or phone number to Meta or Google so they can show our ads to the right people.

Under California's CCPA, exchanging personal information for money or other value is a "sale," and passing identifiers to an ad platform for cross-context advertising is a "share." Nevada's NRS 603A gives residents a comparable right to opt out of the sale of covered information. We don't argue about the labels — we just give you the opt-out.

What opting out actually does

It stops future sharing. Once you're on our do-not-share list:

What it can't do: if we already delivered your request to a contractor before you opted out, we can't unsend it. What we will do is notify the contractors who received it that you've opted out, so they know. Any further contact from them is on them, and you can tell them directly to stop.

What it doesn't affect: everything on this site stays free and fully available to you. We don't degrade the service, charge a fee, or treat you differently for opting out — that's the law, and it's also just how we'd want to be treated.

The automatic way: Global Privacy Control

We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. If you use a browser or extension that sends GPC, we treat it as an opt-out of sale and sharing for that browser, automatically. You don't have to email anyone.

GPC is browser-specific, though — it won't cover a request you already submitted from another device. To be certain we've got you covered by name, send a request below.

How to send a request

Email privacy@renoroofingco.com.

Because we operate entirely online and only hold information for people who contacted us through this site, email is our designated request method. Put one of these in the subject line so it routes correctly:

Subject line What it does
Do Not Sell Opt out of sale and sharing (California and everyone else)
Nevada Opt-Out The NRS 603A.340 opt-out for Nevada residents
Access Request Tell me what you have about me and who you shared it with
Correction Request Fix something that's wrong
Delete Request Delete what you have
Stop Contact No more calls, texts, or email of any kind

In the body, include the name, email address, and phone number you used when you contacted us, so we can find your record. That's all we need.

If you'd rather not think about the wording, this link opens a pre-filled email:

What happens next

  1. We confirm we got it — normally within a couple of business days, and no later than 10 business days.
  2. We verify it's you. Usually matching what you sent against our record is enough. If something doesn't line up, we'll ask one follow-up question. We won't make you create an account or send identification for a routine opt-out.
  3. We do it, and we tell you it's done.

Our deadlines:

We use whatever you send with a request only to process that request, and we don't add you to anything because you wrote to us.

Authorized agents

Someone can submit on your behalf — a family member, an attorney, or a service. Have them email the same address with your written permission attached. We may contact you directly to confirm you authorized it.

Minors

We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18 and we don't sell the information of minors. If you believe a minor's information is here, email privacy@renoroofingco.com and we'll delete it.
